Taylor Estate

This project includes eight 2 or 3-story townhouses.

 

The project targets the Western market in Eltham, focusing on the development of boutique townhouses.

 

SGA Design fully utilized the planning guidelines in the design, achieving a high density on a small 1750m² site with a total saleable area of 1450m². At the same time, great attention was paid to the living experience of each residence. Clerestory spaces with windows facing the sun were arranged in every townhouse, even in the smallest two-bedroom units. This ensures that all residences receive sunlight, which is very rare in high-density townhouse developments.

 

The local area has mountainous terrain with significant elevation differences, and strict planning regulations prohibit excavation or raising the site. As a result, each residence is arranged according to the terrain, while all residences share the same driveway. This poses many challenges for vehicle and pedestrian access. To address this, we incorporated pedestrian ramps on steeper sections of the driveway and implemented a separation of pedestrian and vehicular traffic systems to enhance the overall user experience.

 

Construction of this project is expected to commence by the end of 2023.
